ELF ASHE FROM OVERWATCH PROGRESS Sorry it’s been a bit quieter here the last week or so, I’ve been super busy getting everything finalized for my Elf Ashe shoot for tomorrow! This means I have a TON of crafting content to post, so I’ll try to separate each part of the outfit and how I made each item, starting with the bodysuit! This is the first time I’ve tried the duct tape pattern method, and it went pleasantly better than I expected. Not sure if I would do this again for something like a bodysuit unless it was a really unique design. I used an army green shiny stretch vinyl, and cut patterns along the seams I wanted to make. After sewing all the right side seams together, I topstitched a fold over hem around all the raw edges. In the crotch, I hand sewed in snaps. You can see there’s some loose material in the waist and the top of the butt area and on the cup sides, so I hemmed in all the proper places to make it more form fitting, as in the final product photo. I couldn’t find the right ribbon that the artist used, but I found one that was close and I sewed in a halter strap and a center strap to connect to the choker with some Velcro.
