Our first video here in Sri Lanka! For those interested in the back story of this one:
"We started our trip by spending two weeks in a Surf Camp near Unawatuna and then we were supposed to move to Hikkaduwa. But we somehow messed up our AirBnb dates so that when we got there in the middle of the afternoon the host told us our reservation was starting only the next day. We then had to find something in a rush just for the night: opened Booking app, found something that looked nice, got back into our tuk tuk and headed towards our new spot.
The rest felt like a scene out of a movie, on the way there the tropical rain started pouring down. Since no one was expecting us we got stuck in front of the gate for a while until someone came to open it and led us inside to the villa. Walking the little path to this dream villa under the rain was just magical (swipe to see next video on this post). The evening was spent in the pool, the rain had stopped and the sky was still full of dark menacing clouds but also lit up in so many colors and there was a thunderstorm still going on the horizon.
After one of the nicest rice and curry dinners we've had here, we went to bed early knowing we couldn't wake up the next day without shooting a video here. We hope you'll enjoy this one, it'll definitely stay with us as a very memorable moment of our trip 🖤"
