URSURPER QUEEN ~This power is granted to me by my god! It is the magic of the King of Twilight, and you WILL respect it! Desire can cast you into darkness if you're not careful, especially if all you've ever known are the shadows. Living in a world made out of shadows, this wasn't the only type of shadow looming over Zant. Starting out as a servant to the royal household of the Twili, Zant had but one goal. To rule, to lead her people out of the shadows as she felt they were trapped like 'insects in a cage.' There is a fury in her that was always bound to be unleashed. The royal family knew this, feared her desire to rule as history has a way of repeating itself. The reason this realm is their home is because of their ancestors mistakes. What could be more catastrophic then to have a ruler filled with hatred? This is why when the time came to proclaim a new ruler, the eyes of the people fell on Midna, not Zant. And in doing so, giving her all the reason she needed to take matters into her own hands. Zant looked to the heavens for guidance, a way to take revenge on all who wronged her. The heavens answered her plee, or so she thought. Ganondorf, being cast into the twilight realm for his own attempts to rule after his execution failed, saw the perfect opportunity to once again set his master plan into motion. Zant, having the same fury and desires, proved to be the perfect pawn. Granting Zant his powers he gave her all she needed to unleash her fury. Without thinking twice, she did exacly that. Usurping the throne from Midna and throwing the realm of Twilight into a new type of darkness, an evil one. No matter what she had to do, who she had to condemn, this was her moment. She became that what the Twili had feared from the start. But considering her past and the way she was treated, did she ever really stood a chance? Not even the 'God' she dedicated her life to really cared what would happen to his pawn, and when she was no longer useful to him, Zant met her own gruesome demise through Midna, realizing in her final moments, not even her God Ganondorf showed any form of empathy, just like nobody has her whole life.
