Added 2022-03-02 22:57:21 +0000 UTCMid-week chill with a Cocktail "Shower". Today's cocktail is a Bees' Knees; a gin based cocktail that is perfect balance of booze, sweet and sour. I love this cocktail because it's easy, and also reminiscent of spring time with the punches of honey and lemon. 2 oz gin (personal favs are Hendricks or Roku) 1 oz honey syrup* 1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice Shake over ice and serve straight up! *Honey syrup is made with equal parts honey and boiling water. Like sugar, the molecules in honey break down and rebond, and then strengthen after being mixed with boiling water, so while mixing it technically dilutes it, it still tastes just as sweet AND is easier to mix into a cocktail.
