This past weekend, I went to a little AirBNB cabin south of here to unwind, and the first day I gave myself a second-degree burn on my thigh. (I was pouring scaling hot water and the lid of the kettle popped off and splashed on my leg.)
Needless to say, I'm feeling dumb and not very sexy. 😞 I'm waiting for the provincial wound care people to call me back. I guess I'm lucky in a couple of ways — first, it's below the level of my injury, so I can't really feel the pain that most people would. And it's pretty high up on my leg, which has better circulation than lower.
Anyway, that's where I am for now... I promise I haven't abandoned the site ❤️ I'll be back!
