Good friends @fawncoyote and @echoparke spoke tremendously highly of them, and I already adored their strange, moody portraits. Truth be told, I was also eager to shoot with someone who isn't a straight cis male. As a queer femme, I see myself differently than male photographers do, and I hoped to capture some of that in the shoot. I was a bit nervous, in part because I hadn't hired a photographer in a very long time. Most of my shoots are content collaborations with creators I connected with on social media or through mutual friends. Content trade is by no means free (I generally provide a shoot location, wardrobe, and spend a ton of time on shoots and preparing), but the photographer is in it for the images rather than working for me. Spending the money on the shoot emphasized the feeling that it was mine, to create something I loved. Hopefully, you all like them as much as I do. I'll be sharing quite a few more as I sift through. Also, thank you! Your support here allows me to keep investing time and money into making content. I've grown a lot as a human by getting out there and trying new stuff! More on that another day, if anyone who has followed me for a long time is curious about the many career expansions. :-)
