hello everyone 💕 i recently had someone curse me out & continue to harass me across several platforms because i sent out some ppv messages. while i’m not super bothered by this person, i wanted to address ppv content on my page and how important ppv is to *sustaining* this page & the content on it. my page subscription price is $8, and the platform takes 20% of *EVERYTHING* i make, meaning i make $6.80/sub on regular priced subscriptions. when i run sales, i make even less. on average, subscriptions only bring in about $1.2-1.5k/mo; this number can drastically fluctuate month to month, but that’s about what i usually make from subs. now, that’s a good chunk of change, but the costs of living have skyrocketed exponentially where i live. my rent alone for my apartment is 2.4k + utilities — and it’s not like i live in some luxury condo, either. the market is just brutal right now. i also work a “day job” to make endsmeet & cover the rest of my expenses. if i didn’t offer ppv content or fundraise, i wouldn’t be able to afford to bring you guys a LOT of the content you see because most of my income goes to paying bills. by the time bills are paid, i wouldn’t be able to afford studio time, outfits, toys, cosplays, etc. i try to give a fair amount of content for the $8 y’all pay. i try to have at least one post a day, and i’ve began offering spicier and spicier stuff to the timeline at no additional cost. the ppv messages & fundraisers aren't meant to be a slap to the face, but instead a way to simply help sustain the page. they’re an opportunity for you to further your support and get bonus content in return, but they’re not at all a requirement. the alternative to ppv would be to increase my subscription price again, but it would have to be somewhat substantial if i wanted to eliminate ppv entirely — probably $12-15, but i’d have to do the math. however, i fear that may make my content inaccessible to many people… which opens a whole NEW can of worms. it could also jeopardize the little bit of stability i have for now because i’m sure a lot of people would unsubscribe due to the increase… and since the idea in an increase is to *eliminate* ppv, i wouldn’t be able to fairly sell ppv to make up the difference (does that make sense?). anyway, i will stop rambling now. i hope this brief explanation has helped resolve any upset regarding my ppvs. 😔 as always, if you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me (politely pls) via DM. thank you for reading, jane ♡
