But my friends are suffering terribly right now. My friend's husband was released from the hospital down the mountain after the mountain was closed for the storm.and he has been sleeping in his truck. They finally opened a Red Cross shelter, and he got a good night's sleep last night, but still can't get home. My girlfriend is home alone. She had a major heart attack about 6 or 7 weeks ago and today she had to shovel through over 12 feet of snow by herself to unbury her gas meter after other houses in her community exploded. She ran out of bloodd thinner meds and no pharmacies are open up there, even if she could get her car uncovered. This storm system is no joke, and where the hell is all that water going to go once it does start melting?
