Added 2024-10-16 20:01:33 +0000 UTCHi all! I've been hit with 4 hurricanes in Tampa Bay FL in the past several weeks...and one in western NC, where I live part-time. Just got power on in NC, but no internet (from 9/27!!!) and there's been a ton of repairs, loss and cleanup involved...with no help from any agencies worth mentioning. Even the trash companies aren't working property to get rid of debris...it's been a struggle. We ARE fine and I AM grateful. VERY. But it takes a massive toll on you...fatigue. Prepping, anxiety, hard/heavy physical labor in mud and water with injuries/lacerations/bruises, dealing with paperwork and insurance. I'm inspired by our communities coming together and the PEOPLE helping each other out...it's been amazing to see.
But I just wanted to let you know some of what's been going on. That's what I got for my birthday...strep throat and a hurricane...and then an aggravated herniated disc injury that hurts like hell from lifting heavy boards to board up.
So, thank you for being here!! It's been an adventure lately and I'm grateful for everything! :)
