I wrote a version of this to my friends and realized I should share it with others.
You should be very proud of yourselves. You should look back on this year and acknowledge everything you did and were a part of - and how you not only survived this year but helped others to survive, get through dark times, and thrive.
This includes me. I truly appreciate those who were there for me, the ones who are supportive, and encouraging... It matters more than you know. Sometimes I don't have the boundless energy I used to in order to handle as many things as I'd like to. It's frustrating. I appreciate those of you who understand and are still there.
This was a rough year for most of the population, and it was a year of growth and change which is very uncomfortable. Humans don't like change.
Add in the fact that nearly everyone is mourning from some type of loss and it made for most people not being on their best behavior as well. Not a great vibe overall.
Yet, we are still here to smile, laugh, see the flowers, and love. The meaning of life is to have experiences and have/bring joy.
In some cultures, they believe when you die you are asked two questions: "Did you have joy? Did you bring joy to others?"
Ask yourself these questions while you are here and now. Have a great New Year!
Don't forget...Pedialyte and dill pickle juice can cure a multitude of sins.
