Called son between printing paper work and showing medics where to go. Got belittled by son and yelled at. Son calls back and apologizes for being a jerk to me. An hour later a resident is due to be changed. Aide looks to see if he's wet. She calls for me. He has passed away. Not even on hospice yet. Called wife who couldn't believe it. She was very grateful for my care. I cleaned him up and dressed him because the other aide was too scared to. I held wife's hand and she was very grateful for that. I never met her before. Only spoke on the phone. She has seen me on the cameras in his room. She mentions how photogenic I am. I giggle inside, if she only knew. Yep, that's my night as a nurse. 2 more to go! 😥❤️
