I’m obviously not unfamiliar to rude comments or just comments in general about my weight gain… but for the most part they’ve always been from the perspective of me going from fit to fat - not fat to FATTER. I started a 12 week temp contract 8 weeks ago. I’ve only got a few weeks left (thank god). But it’s in a place I’ve never worked before with people that didn’t know me before. I’ve packed on a wild amount of weight recently during this time. Yesterday, I made a super neutral comment about how I can’t wait to have a few days off for thanksgiving and not have to wear scrubs for a few days. A coworker said, “yeah you know you really need to be careful, you’ve gotten a little too comfortable in those scrubs.” I was like what do you mean??? Not really following. She said, “Well you’ve definitely put on some weight since starting here” … 💦 SPLASH💦 That was the first time that someone (outside of the community) has ever really commented on me from going from fat to fatter. It was so damn hot 🥵
