"The Addams Family" has always been one of my favorite movies (and families!) It began as a single-panel cartoon created by Charles Addams, which first appeared in The New Yorker magazine in 1938. The quirky and macabre family gained popularity over the years, leading to various adaptations, including a TV series in the 1960s, animated series, and several movies. The first major motion picture adaptation (and MY favorite version of the Addams) simply titled "The Addams Family," was released in 1991, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, and Christopher Lloyd. It was followed by a sequel, "Addams Family Values," in 1993. These films were well-received and became classics, further solidifying the Addams Family's place in pop culture. In 2019, an animated movie with the same title was released, bringing the iconic family back to the big screen with a fresh take. Maybe if we’re lucky, @roxiotaku will cover The Addams Family in her upcoming OFTV channel…
