I've always loved reading since I was a kid. Books were my escape, my adventure, and my solace. But as much as I loved those stories, they came with a price: my vision. It didn't help that bad eyesight ran in my family. By my teenage years, I found myself squinting at the blackboard, holding books an inch from my nose, and mistaking strangers for friends from afar. It was like living in a blurry, watercolor painting.

We tried everything to fix it. Eye exercises, special diets, you name it. At one point, my parents even made me wear these weird pinhole glasses that were supposed to train my eyes. I just ended up looking like a confused fly.😄

Eventually, we accepted that my vision wasn’t going to get any better. So, glasses it was. My first pair made me look like an owl, but at least I could finally see! Then, I graduated to contact lenses. Ah, the joys of poking your eye every morning. I've had my share of mishaps, like dropping a lens in the sink or putting it in backward and walking around with one eye watering all day.

Now, I'm seriously considering laser eye surgery. The thought of waking up and actually seeing my alarm clock clearly is like a dream. But until then, it's me and my trusty glasses, or lenses, navigating the world one squint at a time.

Laser correction is very expensive, but it's something I desperately need because my eyesight keeps getting worse each year. That's why I've been saving money for a long time. Every little bit helps me get closer to seeing the world clearly again. Here’s to hoping one day I’ll finally see the world in HD!
