When I was big into L olita fashion, I saw many fashions from Japanese brands and one had some punk/goth kimonos. I loved the concept of them and decided to make my own. I got a pattern that followed the traditional construction (then messed up on the sleeves) and made this. I love the design of it but haven't worn it out for fear of facing judgement of wearing a kimono (or yukata) as a white person, AND wearing one in a non-traditional style. This desperately needs to be de-furred and ironed, but I didn't think you'd mind 😘
