We decided to make a road trip of it and drive the 12 hours down from Toronto with an overnight stop in Cincinnati. What a cool, underrated city! The next day, we continued to the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The 13-bedroom hilltop mansion our friends Scott and April from Naughty Gym arranged for our group has a theater, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, games room, and elevator. It’s almost as fabulous as the view.
The first disappointment of the trip with the gorgeous warm weather today. Why is that disappointing? Because we went skiing at Ober Gatlinburg, and only one lift with two runs were open. It’s been too hot to keep the snow. But I made the most of it and skied those two little hills for hours while most of our group hit the bar in the lodge or the bunny hill for a ski lesson.
