Maybe I’d get on Slack and joke around with a coworker, or go to the bathroom so I can scroll through my phone. It’s not that I don’t like to work... But I showed up and did what I was told for 40 hours a week for a lead aggregation company with multi-million dollar revenue that was doubling every year... and yet I still wasn’t earning enough to save for basics or comfortably afford health insurance after 2 yrs there. Something’s wrong with that picture. Now that I make my own schedule, I don’t count down ‘til it’s time to clock out. I work when I want to, and I stop when I want to. If I need more money, I just work more, or test a new strategy. If I need more time, I work less and make time. It’s been so liberating, and I’m in awe that this is my life now: nonstop good times with close friends who share the same lifestyle and interests, plus the constant support and validation I get from fans like you.
