Good morning crew!

So i mentioned over the weekend that I’ve been workin on a BIG surprise for Big Boy... Well, I finally pulled the trigger. I guess we are stuck together now because I’m not paying for this thing on my own ;)

Some back story - both of our trucks were 1500s, so our boat was flirting with the maximum towing capacity... At low tide, when the ramp is slippery, we would be spinning tires and having trouble pulling the boat out (plus all the strain we were putting on our trucks by pulling a boat heavier than we should’ve been pulling)... so, Bryce has been not-so-subtly lobbying for a bigger/prettier truck for a while now. Me n him are opposites on this kinda stuff. I’ve been saying we should just go buy an old workhorse. Something like a 08-09 F250 with 150K miles on it for under 10k that we just park in the yard and use for nothing but towing the boat... I couldn’t care less about bells and whistles and all that stuff, as long as it gets the job done, and we don’t gotta spend a ton of $$$ ... so after going back and forth on the new truck thing for months, B finally dropped it. He couldn’t argue with my sound logic ;)

Little did he know, I’ve been low key searching for a good deal on his dream truck all along... and I finally found it this past weekend. The dealer was a 4 hour drive, so I had a buddy help me come up with a little white lie so that I could disappear for the whole day... and of course, the deal almost fell through (y’all know how it goes negotiating with those guys. It’s exhausting). But in the end, we got out from the Silverado scot free... We got a killer interest rate... and best of all, we made big boy cry 🥲

So yeah, that’s the big surprise I’ve been working on. And the timing couldn’t have worked out better- We won’t have any issues getting the boat in and out of the water, just in time for the charter! We get our second vaccines soon, so we are gonna be able to do a summer road trip to visit fam that we haven’t seen in forever!! Bryce is gonna get to meeet some folks on my side that he hasn’t even met yet. I’m gonna get to meeet some of his crew that I haven’t met... We are just really, REALLY excited for the road ahead... and we couldn’t have done it without y’all. Seriously. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for being here.
