Added 2022-08-21 21:50:40 +0000 UTCI’ve actually been getting some shit from people I have only known since I’ve been a chainsaw carver (the past 11 years) who tell me that they liked my more masculine presenting look (ie work clothes) that they have gotten used to, and have even suggested I’m not acting like myself right now since I’ve been wearing dresses on Facebook. It’s funny to me that people think they understand who you are because of the photos you’ve happened to post for the relatively short amount of time you might have known them, and only for one aspect of your life. I was a workaholic for a long time and rarely appeared in anything except paint shirts, steel toed boots and chainsaw chaps. Clothing can really express how we want to be perceived by others, without question. But people are multifaceted and if you’re fortunate enough to have the closet space, you can reflect that internal flexibility through fashion. This lemon skirt makes me feel fresh, classy, feminine, optimistic and it’s a nice length for dancing. 🍋 💃 I am a chainsaw carver, but I’m a bunch of things and will probably continue to collect even more interests, hobbies, gigs, businesses and side hustles in the future. I appreciate that some folks love the work-clothes look, but please understand I do sometimes clean up and go honkytonking. 💋
