We vacationed on the island of Cayo Coco - the five-star Paredón hotel. The first couple of days were fun: you wander around the hotel, explore everything there is, swim on the beach in clear water or swim in one of the three hotel pools, try local food, play tennis on the court, communicate with Cubans, drink rum or beer, smoke cigars, watch entertainment in the evening program 🙂👌 But around the third day it starts to seem less fun. You have already explored the entire territory of the hotel; a swim on the beach only lasts 15 minutes, then your skin burns under the scorching equatorial sun; local food is not the most varied - mostly carbohydrates, very few vegetables; drinking alcohol every day also becomes difficult, although we continued to do it so as not to die of boredom 🤡 There is a serious shortage of everything in Cuba. There are very few goods. We rented a bike to go to the neighboring island 37 km away to the local shopping center, but upon arrival it turned out that there was almost nothing there 🕷️🕸️ This is not to say that you should not visit this country. I have only been to islands that are still poorly prepared for tourists. Unfortunately, I was not able to visit the capital of Cuba, Havana. Tours to get there cost unrealistic money by local standards. But I would really like to see this city 🌴✨ This is my impression. There was both good and bad. Anyway, it was a precious experience that was worth it 💯
