Not far away was he actual site of the first Atomic bomb. It is hard to believe I was standing on the spot right were almost 70 years ago there was such massive destruction, until you see how stunted all the growth was for about a few hundred metres around compared to the rest of the desert. Needless to say we didn't stay there long, despite all the signs and guides saying it was safe.
