Guys when I first started doing sports, it was not so much about the body, but about fighting with yourself.
I remember coming home after my first workout and just bursting into tears. Not because it was physically hard, but because I remembered all those moments when I was criticized for my body. You know, people often don’t notice how painfully they can hurt.
I was always compared to others, told that I needed to try harder, to be “more beautiful.” I tried to fit into their framework, but at some point I realized that the only thing that mattered was how I felt.
Sport became a way for me to embrace myself again, to regain my confidence. Now, every workout is about self-love, not about proving to others. Have you ever felt underestimated? 💗🩰
