We've just stumbled across these stills that we hadn't shared before, but they're some of the very first photos we took together. In fact, if you can believe it (and even if you can't) we'd met only the night before! Pelegia was a travelling model, living out of a suitcase and perennially difficult to pin down. But G had been patient and as things turned out we met precisely no later nor sooner than we needed to in the alignment of our lives. One snowy winter night, Pelegia arrived at an empty train station wearing a leather coat and a trilby hat, and greeted a nondescript bespectacled man with a slightly irritating nervous energy about him. Love was about as unlikely as anything at that point, or so it seemed. But the events that unfolded crept up on us like an invisible wave that defied reflection. It's fascinating that we managed to capture some of these early moments on camera. In these frames, we can see that our attention towards each other was new.
