I still can't get used to walking around in shorts and flip-flops on the eve of New Year. It's Thailand, and yes, it's hot, and I've been living here for six months now, but it still feels so unusual. In Thailand, they call this time the "cool season," and it's essentially the most comfortable. During summer and fall, for instance, I couldn't step out during the day because of the heat, but now it's quite comfortable even in the daytime. And that's wonderful!
