How many of you love Halloween as much as I do? This night is always shrouded in a special magic... and I'll admit, I love playing with this mystical atmosphere 🖤 In honor of the most mysterious holiday of the year, I decided to share with you a few interesting facts that will definitely add some spookiness and cheer to your day 😉
1️⃣ Where did pumpkins come from?
Originally, Jack's lamps (yes, yes, those scary pumpkins) were not made from pumpkins, but from... turnips! 😳 Imagine walking into a house and there's a sinister turnip with fire inside! Really, you have to agree, pumpkins look so much more spectacular...like me in my Halloween costume. 😘🎃
2️⃣ Cat Magic
Black cats are associated with witches and mysticism. In the Middle Ages, people believed that witches could transform into these animals to keep tabs on those who were not good for them. Hmmm... Maybe you have your own black cat watching you? Or maybe it's me who's watching. 😉🐾
3️⃣ “Sweet or Nasty.”
This tradition comes from “souling,” an ancient custom where the poor would go door-to-door asking for food in exchange for prayers for the souls of the dead. So the next time someone knocks on your door for sweets... be prepared, because you don't know what they'll bring with them. 😈🍬
