Naturally, I had to stop and indulge and BOY am I glad I did! Maltese cuisine is a blend of Mediterranean flavors with a touch of Italian influence. The proximity to Sicily makes pizza and pasta dishes common, but Maltese cooks have also adapted traditional Italian dishes, like rabbit stew and timpana, adding their unique twist.
