‘No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.’
I claim to be nothing but an amateur for the record….
*it is very likely the historical Socrates did not say this exactly; but perhaps he might have flirted with a similar line of enquiry.
