Once upon a time... a moment no one noticed.
No great drama.
No whispering,
no command.
Just silence.
She lay heavy in the room.
Between gazes that had long since found each other, and hands that weren't holding each other at the moment, but would have been ready to at any moment.
She sat there.
And she lay there.
And between the two... was nothing.
Nothing... except a silence, that spoke more than any words.
She breathed in – and she heard it.
She breathed out – and she felt it.
And in that very nothingness... was everything.
Everything that mattered.
Everything that remained.
Everything they both were.
Trust... without it being spoken. Closeness... without touching.
Devotion... without a single command.
And when she closed her eyes, there was this knowledge:
She's paying attention.
Even now.
Right now.
Because this very silence was the loudest proof of all. Sometimes we say nothing. And all that remains is the quiet knowledge: That even silence begins to speak, when two souls listen to each other.
