If you want to hear an update on my life, this is for you 📚 As I write this I'm sitting at a co-office space - I've had a difficult time with productivity at home, and decided to try out a working space to see if it would be the right fit for me! It's similar to sitting in a cafe, but quieter and with better wifi. One of the most attractive points is the sanitized work spaces and mandated distancing that isn't enforced to the same degree in cafes and libraries. I took a tour of this work space, and they allowed me to work for a couple hours for free afterwards. I'm not sure what I think yet, it will really depend on the pricing of the space... but so far I've been ***far*** more productive than I would have been at home! I spent a couple of hours updating my website www.goaskalexonline.com, and I hope that I can finally sit down to write a new blog post for the site soon. One of the benefits to working in a secure space like this is being able to get up and leave my laptop to use the washroom without being afraid of my personal belongings being stolen! 🖐 🤚 The downsides would include privacy; I'm not sure how people would react if they knew I was editing porn just a few feet away from them 🤔 and I wouldn't want to alarm and unsuspecting civilians by accidentally flashing them my nudes 😂 In other news, I finally managed to transfer all of the raw images from my trip to the Yukon onto my laptop, and now I have the gruelling task of chipping away at editing them. It's hard to believe it's already been almost seven months and I haven't even looked at most of them! I also have oodles of images and a couple of little clips from my time shooting in a ***decommissioned escape room*** (yes it was as cool as it sounds, see attached images) which need to be sifted through. Not to mention a backlog of at least 10 videos that have been filmed and are awaiting edits! Yes, I've been busy, and recovering from my tonsillectomy took a lot more out of me than I expected.
