I had a beautiful bday celebration. Started the day with a float, then had an incredible vegan soul-food dinner, and ended the night at the movies to see a film about sex workers. It was perfect day. 😇

I’m sure an hour of uninterrupted silence and rest would relax anyone’s body and mind. And you will certainly have a restful sleep the night you do it. But the float is also meant to provide you with a safe space to explore difficult questions.
For me, this was the perfect place to spend my birthday. My life is constantly changing and evolving, so it is vital for me to take time to reflect on all that I’ve been through. Some heavy emotions came up during my float, but in the end I felt calm and at peace.
Being held up by the sacred element of water reminds me to be more like it.
