One of the neat things I’ve done here in Florida is tour The Howey In The Hills Mansion. It’s been abandoned for many years. It was built in 1925 by a rich citrus farmer & said to now be haunted by the family. Creepy thing is the whole Howey family is buried in a crypt in the back yard. It was recently sold for 480k and it will be renovated for 1 million by the new owner. They used to let people spend the night for a few thousand dollars. Very cool house! It even has its own Wikipedia page!

Arcade Fire is one of my favorite bands & they just so happen to also be Ex-Mormons. Back in 2011 their album 'The Suburbs,' won a Grammy which was a huge deal. Several years ago while they were in town I got to see them in concert. It was surreal & they put on an amazing show, I think I may have even cried! 🙃🥲 They wrote this immensely poignant song entitled “Afterlife.” The lyrics really resonated with me at the time. As a fellow Exmo dealing with similar existential dread there was a certain amount of comfort in knowing that I wasn’t alone in that.
