We understand this isn’t to everyone’s taste with there being no visuals, But here’s audio from Amy’s filling appointment yesterday. Her dentist doesn’t allow video, and I couldn’t be there because of work so I couldn’t sneak any footage.
If you struggle to make out what is going on, she gets seated and is instantly numbed up, numbing the inside and outside of her molar.
The dentist then does a scaling whilst the anaesthesia kicks in.
He then drills out the cavity and fills it.
The bite is a little high so needs a little adjusting.

Amy’s cavity on her upper right 7. The last look at this before it’s filled with amalgam on Tuesday. We will do a new video after the filling to show you her new silver. Note for the second video: Watch how the explorer goes deep and gets stuck in the cavity. Visible discomfort in Amy’s eyes and a moan of pain. I predict a large restoration covering most of the occlusal surface of the tooth.
