Happy humpday! I hope your week is going well! 😁 I'm working tonight and Thursday overnight. I have a feeling I might be losing one or two residents 😥. I will have a different work schedule starting May 1st. I get to pick my days to work. That's a plus! But I'll be working every other weekend and less days off due to shorter shifts. That's a bummer but at least I love my job. ❤️ Stay positive! 🙌

Current mood! 😤 My place of employment is eliminating overnight nurses. I can either leave, try to transfer or take a 2-10:30pm position 5 days a week. I love my residents and staff so I'm staying. My schedule changes May 1st. It's so frustrating. But the bright side is that I'll have more interaction with residents! ❤️

Nurse Life: Resident falls. Obvious cut above right brow and swollen and bl33ding. States he hit head on table. Called EMT to take to hospital. Called son between printing paper work and showing medics where to go. Got belittled by son and yelled at. Son calls back and apologizes for being a jerk to me. An hour later a resident is due to be changed. Aide looks to see if he's wet. She calls for me. He has passed away. Not even on hospice yet. Called wife who couldn't believe it. She was very grateful for my care. I cleaned him up and dressed him because the other aide was too scared to. I held wife's hand and she was very grateful for that. I never met her before. Only spoke on the phone. She has seen me on the cameras in his room. She mentions how photogenic I am. I giggle inside, if she only knew. Yep, that's my night as a nurse. 2 more to go! 😥❤️
