Our first workout will be shitty Our first video we make to share on social media probably will not be that great Our first time we try a handstand will probably be a fail Our first online blog will probably have a lot of lessons learned in it Often our first things we do aren't all they crack up to be. But we can't have success or growth without doing our first of anything. So let's get over it and make it happen. Knowing this is only the beginning where we end up and what we end up doing has so much potential. To win in life isn't about doing things well it's about showing up and starting. You need 3 daily wins and they are not what society tells you. 1) A physical win: • Walking, stretching, lifting... 2) A mental win: • Reading, writing, creating, learning, doing a sudoku... 3) A spiritual win: • Gratitude, meditating, studying, growing... You can always win at life when you just show up and do your best. The truth is I know people workout at 4 a.m before working two jobs or 11pm after working 2 jobs. I’ve known introverts who became great communicators when an important relationship needed it. I’ve seen people who weren’t "ready" suddenly commit to the right person. My mum started yoga at 70 with Multiple Sclerosis, she still drives a car and is learning another language. My dad was told he would never walk again after shattering his femur and having a metal rod inserted into it. He is walking, surfing and so many other things. My brother was told he would never run again after a hip operation. He has run the Hawaiian Marathon and the Sydney marathon. I have 2 friends who were told they would not beat cancer. During their cancer treatment they not only battled cancer but had two kids and are still walking this earth to share their lives. I have dyslexia that is why you see a lot of mistakes. I was told I would never amount to much. Ive written a book https://www.amazon.com/Brave-Beautiful-Baring-All-Happiness/dp/1786782898 and learned another language. It is about choosing our priorities and what is important to us. People give effort to what’s important to them. Problems don’t solve themselves because you avoid them; they just snowball into bigger shit until it gets out of control. Solve your shit now before it outgrows your control. Here is a little bit of my practice where ever I can get it I will....Practice never stops for me even when you do not see it on socials..... I see it a bit differently than most. You are still the same you but using you to show up in a new and smarter way is the aim. You have always had everything you need inside of you to achieve your goals, you just haven't used you (everything inside you) properly yet. If I had been in a position like this 10 years ago I would have handled this with less grace. I would have been struggling even more and hiding it too. I used to keep my dark thoughts to myself pretending everything was okay and feeling like a failure until it beat me down so heavily I was paralysed by life. These days life is still beating me to a pulp but I just prefer to make that pulp smooth and drink it like a smoothie of lessons to grow and learn and build character. Just like a smoothie you have to blend down the ingredients and drink it to get the vitamins and minerals from it. I see it as being two results from making mistakes: 1) 10,000 ways not to do things and be deterred or 2) Success by 10,000 ways not to do things. You are either a slave to or the student of the lessons that life presents at any low point of your life. Let us choose a student of lessons that life presents. Amazing things happen when we do not let fear hold us back. The truth is I wish that I was in a different position. I wish I was better at furniture building. I wish that I didn't feel so exhausted and lost in what I am doing. I wish I had people to help me to create my online content and respond. However, I am grateful that I am learning, I am grateful for the new experiences ahead, I am grateful that I get to connect with you person to person and you know you get to connect to me. I am grateful for the hard work because many people do not get to be here in life any more. They lost that opportunity, life went too soon. So I will take it hard because life is worth it. Beating ourselves up over our mistakes is pointless… 1) We can’t undo them 2) Mistakes are also how we learn. What is a mistake in the last year you learned a lot from? Have two beds built so far. Still a whole apartment of furniture to build and unpack. It’s gonna take a while! I’m not a girl that has it altogether. I’m a girl showing up doing her best. I share real life because life is hard, it’s the art of suffering well. So with our health we can suffer well and get over any challenge. I’m still training. I’m not very little online because I’ve got not much Internet, no phone. But it’s all happening. This year has started out a bit much and it’s just not stopping but I wanted to drop in say hi. I’m still here and have not forgotten about you all. A few more days I’ll have home internet and a few extra pieces of furniture. If you are feeling overwhelmed and life is challenging you. Know you are not alone. I don’t know which way to look. One step at a time we’ve all got this. Can I acknowledge a time when I could have been a better leader in my own life? Can I release myself from the shame of having not responded sooner to someone so that I can finally reach out? 2023-12-17 18:11:29 +0000 UTC View PostIt has been a hectic few weeks. Art and movement brings me therapy, healing and regulation for when I’m feeling overwhelmed. This year has been so full and I've learned so much about myself. Learning a new culture. Rehabilitation from an injury that happened in everyday life and having to relearn my handstands, presses & deeper backbends. Spending more time with mum and dad and caring as they are in their 70s. Meeting and building new connections for family, friendships and work related project’s and so on. Learning my daughter as she grows and changes and needing to adapt as a parent and also transitioning my work again. Right now I’m in the process of relocating back to Switzerland at the end of this month. It’s where my daughter feels home and we finally have an opportunity to go back. We moved because Covid closed our work opportunities there. It has been a hard year and a half finding a new work home and now we are looking forward to going back to Switzerland and Europe where we love nature. It will be a little chilly. Changing countries is incredibly hard. Language, new systems of insurance and taxes and schools. But we will get there. I will miss being closer to Australia and will miss having family nearby, but as a mum making my daughter happy is important and this feels like home to her. I’m a little shaky right now. I’ve just been sitting and typing this at a cafe. Bangkok is unusually smoggy and hot at the moment. My daughter is doing gymnastics. We have a lot of cockroaches here and I got 3 cockroaches up my skirt, just sitting trying to have a drink and type this. What a way to start Saturday. I just finshed my training. Sat down to work at a cafe and end up doing jumps and shakes for cockraoch shaking out. of my skirt. Now anytime I feel something touch me I jump thinking it is a cockroach lol. I must have looked like a complete fool jumping around shaking them out. That’s real life for you in Bangkok. I’m not going to miss these bugger. Time to go home and shower. The thing about traveling is that you get to experience different worlds on the earth and realise nothing is normal. Everything is just human experience and you have some preferred and some non preferred. I’m realizing more and more also how important mind set is and we can choose it. All by our habits we create to help us handle ourselves in life and also by what we focus on. The biggest lesson I’ve learned this year is that you save/rely on yourself and others support is important too but not guaranteed and cannot always be relied upon. This year I was going to do a retreat and also online yoga teaching site, clothed with a friend. They pulled out and left me losing money I’d already invested. No apologies just I have to look after myself conversation and find work here because I can’t afford to do it. It was a hard reality check seeing someone I count on not be reliable or recognise the impact their decisions had on me. I had to learn that this is part of life, people only think about themselves in the long term, as we have only our life and cannot see our impact on others always as we look after ourselves. So I’m seeing it’s important that we learn to always rely on ourselves first. Things will happen out of our control and we have to be able to pick ourselves up. Because no amount of blaming the world or others will help us. Challenges are not there to stop us but to build us. Well I better get on with my day. Rhys thoughts for this day. Happy weekend xo

They also do not see you as a person. As a woman who has always had to work hard to do anything she does, some days it really creates an internal world of struggle for her to be seen and feel enough. So much of what I give is with my heart and soul. I am endlessly giving for free as I know how many of us struggle, including myself.  I work 7 days a week. I cannot personally remember a day in the last few years I have not worked.  What I give on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube is for free. However, people will say you have an Only Fans or P@treon. In this world nothing is for free. Even the creation of what I give for free comes at a cost for me with my time, education and the ability to train and workout to keep my skills. This post alone I am writing right now.  I have to pay an internet bill, electricity bill, my time and then there is the photography. I wonder when in this world people will see the work of hearts and souls like myself and my friends creating online for free and for clients and say thank you or just be grateful. I feel we have come to a world where everything is a given and nobody is appreciated enough anymore. Free is expected. My income is working online these days as a personal trainer, yoga teacher, movement coach and health and wellbeing consultant, and a few in person clients and events, whilst I raise my daughter. It has never been easy but it works. This photo alone isn't just a photo. this is the sum total of saving to fly to the states to collaborate with @audriasana to create content for you all. This photo has a cost of a nanny for my daughter, food on the table, flights to the states, education for me to learn my movements over the years, building a network with others, accommodation in America and food for me. Then there is purchasing equipment, computer programs to edit, computers, time of myself and others and so much more.  I hope one day we see how valuable each other is and how precious it is to receive anything from someone for nothing. Because free always comes at a cost. Nothing is as simple as a photo, a post, some writing. For all those who are into fitness you will know the human body that is fit and healthy takes years of hard work, learning skills, paying for courses or coaching or the gym, equipment, clothes and good nutrition and then some. Things aren't always what they seem We are only seeing part of each other There's more than we could ever know Behind the scenes of everyone of us. One thought I have as we are closing out this year is to you to make a pact with yourself today to not be defined by your past or others opinions.
