CORE, CORE, CORE

Having a strong core offers numerous benefits for athletes, desk workers, people who work on their feet, teens, and older adults. Core strength is not just for those involved in sports and recreation. It is for everyone. It is the center of your body and ties everything together. A strong core makes every other exercise more simple and also takes pressure off your lower back. Give my core follow along video a try!!

Happy Monday everyone!!

I can't wait to chat with you this week. This is our chance to start the week off right so make sure to move around a bit, shake out that body after a fun weekend and set the standard for the next few days. I like to start off my Monday and my week with a light movement session to ease the body into it. My glute follow along video is a great example of this! Give it a try and chat me if you wanna talk more ;)

Hey hotties,

Hope everyone is doing good. I love chatting with you guys ;)
One muscle I continue to work on is is my hamstrings! A strong posterior chain is really important to a happy and healthy body. Hamstring stretches help to relieve back pain, improve posture, and avoid soreness and injuries. This is one of the stretches that you can try. Keep your leg straight and you will feel the stretch on in the back of your leg.

Hey babes

One thing I try to do every day is squat! It is one of the most beneficial poses and promotes full body movement and flexibility! It particularly focuses on the glutes and hips. With stronger glutes you’ll notice a lot of everyday tasks become easier — from reaching the low shelf at the grocery store to sitting down and standing up. Give it a try!

Hey cuties!

I have some great follow again videos coming soon, but in the meantime let's talk about core! Working on core strength has numerous benefits, from improved posture, balance, and movement to pain management and injury prevention. And who doesn't love a six pack ;) This position is called "bird dog" and is great for reconnecting with your entire body, from your fingertips to your toes! Give it a shot!

Hello all,

Now we're getting into the spicy stuff! This pose is called the "shoulderstand". They take some practice and time to master but are so worth it! Shoulder stands don’t just look impressive—they can also improve everything from your strength to your circulation. It also increases the range of motion and flexibility in your neck and shoulders and can even strengthen your legs and back muscles as your entire body is engaged during the posture. Remember to try this in a safe environment and be careful!

It's me again!

Following on from my last post, we're talking about hips again. This is a great pose and stretch for those tight hips. You will want to start seated with your hands supporting you from behind, and your fight slightly wider than shoulder distance. Slowly let the knees fall to one side and really focus on those hips opening up. Repeat on both sides for 10-12 reps and hold on each side for a few seconds.

Hey yogis!

1The hips don't lie! Tight hips can lead to a lot of issues, so we need to make sure to include them in our practice. This "low lunge" helps to open up the hip flexors. You should really feel it on the outside of that leg you're leaning out. This one feels amazing and is one I always include in my sessions!

Yoga gang,

You don't have to flexible to enjoy yoga. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the hamstrings can be a tough spot for many, and it is one that I work on every day. I am currently trying to progress with my pancake pose. This is the standing variation that allows gravity to do a lot of the work for you! I can't wait to share my progression with this pose.

Hello again!

For many people, yoga provides a retreat from their chaotic and busy lives. Sometimes you just need to pop a squat! One of the easier yoga poses, but also one of the most beneficial. The "squat" helps to open up your hips and can be changed to make it easier or more difficult.

Yogis!!

My lower back has always been a tough spot for me, and was one of the main reasons I got into yoga in the first place. We tend to forget about our posterior chain, so it is important to incorporate lower back poses into our sessions. This pose is called "Upward-Facing Dog" and is my favorite for targeting that stubborn lower back. Give it a shot!!

Hi Guys,

Hamstrings can be a tough muscle to stretch and work on. They tend to be extremely tight from sitting at a desk all day! The "Seated Hamstring" pose seen below allows you to work on each leg individually and progress at your own pace! Make sure to drive your knee into the ground and keep that leg straight for that extra stretch!

Hey Yogis!

If you're looking for a great glute and shoulder stretch then this is the one for you! This is called "Reverse Tabletop". This pose opens the chest and tones the low back. Reverse tabletop pose also builds arm, leg and core body strength.

Hello again!

It’s important to make time for your mind-body-soul and yoga helps with all three!

This is one of my favorite poses. It is called "Ch1ld's pose". It centers on creating a moment of rest where the body can be still. It is a foundational yoga posture that reminds us that inaction can be as valuable as action.
